At the end of September of this year, Volvo Penta introduced a new innovation, which is already available: Joystick Surfing. This is a new functionality of your system Joystick Driving, launched last year.
This innovation creates a great experience of wakeboarding. It works in combination with the screen Watersports Control while Surfing, making it easier to maneuver a boat wake, in particular those equipped with forward propulsion (Volvo Penta Forward Drive).
Joystick Surfing offers an advanced level of control and precision, with a great comfort of use, since the operator has the option of maneuver without the use of the wheel or the lever of control. The joystick can be installed on the armrests of the driver's seat, which ensures a driving posture ergonomic and comfortable during a long period of time. This makes it easier for the driver to be more attentive to the movements of the surfer, being able to to correct the course with a single hand.
Security features smart also help to ensure smooth browsing. If you release the joystick in reverse, it will go automatically to a neutral position for safety. Joystick Surfing makes course corrections with the autopilot by turning a couple of degrees with a simple twist of the wrist.
Joystick Surfing is combined with the system Volvo Penta Twin Forward Drive, an extension of your helix design contrarrotante forward-facing with gasoline engines. This powerful combination allows all the benefits of the system the Forward Drive (maneuverability and efficiency higher, acceleration, and time I plan to fast, push and performance powerful and remarkable comfort on board) are applied to larger vessels.
